馬の脚が4本とも地についていれば自然死
1本浮かせていれば戦闘での負傷による死
2本浮かせていれば戦死

というのが伝統的な様式になっているらしい
日本の銅像全部が全部というわけではないが
ほとんどのものはこの様式にのっとっている
